2022 Annual LOSS symposium

The NWA project, ‘Living on Soft Soils – Subsidence & Society’ (LOSS), held its second annual public symposium on Thursday, November 3rd 2022. We shared the latest knowledge and exchanged ideas about the causes and effect of land subsidence, this year focussing on urban areas. We had two central themes:

• Subsidence in spatial planning
• Damage through shrinking and expansion.

The entire day was held in Dutch, so as to accommodate the our Dutch stakeholders.
